Seneca Healthcare District reports it will host a series of community wellness screenings this June, offering residents and visitors low-cost options to support healthier living and early detection of potential health issues.
Organizers say Seneca hosts these biometric health screenings for the community each year. The screenings include blood draws and low-cost imaging studies. The hospital accepts cash or check for the cost of services.
Screenings will be held on the following dates:
- Tuesday, June 2, 7 – 9:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 3, 7 – 9:30 a.m.
- Saturday, June 6, 9 – 11:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, June 9, 7 – 9:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, June 10, 7 – 9:30 a.m.
Screenings are held at 317 Main St. in Chester at the Seneca Healthcare Foundation office. Services include blood draws, low-cost imaging studies, scheduling of bone-density scans and more. Health care professionals will be on site to provide screenings, answer questions and share educational materials.
“Promoting health and well-being is part of our ongoing mission,” said Brady Haynes, chief operating officer at SHD. “These screenings are a valuable resource for our community members to take charge of their health.”
All screenings are open to the public. No appointments are necessary. Participants should bring a valid ID and a list of current medications. More information is available at senecahospital.org/wellnessscreening.
The wellness screenings are sponsored by Seneca Auxiliary, a dedicated volunteer organization committed to supporting community health initiatives, patient care programs and local wellness outreach efforts.
