NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) – Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana hosted a free Mental Wellness Experience for girls in grades K THROUGH 12 and their families.
It took place in the Kramer Pavilion at Deaconess Ortho Neuro Hospital.
The event encouraged creativity, confidence, and connection through hands-on activities that support mental wellness.
Organizers say events like this help encourage young girls.
“It’s important to have these kinds of events to like so kids around my age or like any age really can just go around and like see things that are like positive or make crafts just you know to be happy you know hang out with people,” says Clementine Lane, a local girl scout.
Around a dozen other organizations participated in the event to promote mental wellness in our community and in our kids.
