Burritos are packed with tasty fillings, but eating them can be a messy affair. Find out how to tightly wrap a burrito to avoid any spillage, plus see our best ever burrito recipes.
1. Warm the wraps
Warm tortilla wraps in the oven, microwave or in a dry frying pan so they’re easier to roll.
2. Add fillings to the centre of the wrap
Add a heaped serving spoon of fillings like cooked meats, beans and Mexican rice. Don’t overfill the wrap or it will be difficult to close.
3. Add some toppings
Cheddar, chopped avocado, soured cream and salsa work well. You could even make your own guacamole.
4. Fold in the two ends over the filling
Press them down lightly with your fingers.
6. Fold in the top and bottom to completely close in the fillings
Flip it over, pressing down firmly so the folds stay in place.
7. Use foil to wrap the burrito tightly
Repeat with the remaining wraps and filling, keeping the assembled burritos in the oven while you make the rest.
