TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Core Cycle has been offering indoor cycling and reformer Pilates classes to Twin Falls residents since opening in 2018.
“We are a low-impact studio specializing in indoor cycling and reformer Pilates workouts,” said Becky Able, owner of Core Cycle.
Able said she opened the studio after noticing a gap in the local fitness market.
“I was traveling a lot, visiting a lot of studios, and boutique fitness was just starting to take off. And I knew that Twin Falls didn’t have anything specialized like this,” Able said. “And I had been teaching over at CSI and was really enjoying it, and just decided to throw my hat in the ring.”
The studio focuses on two types of workouts with different fitness goals.
“We’re going to focus on the cardio, heart health, getting your body moving. And then the Pilates is going to focus on your strength training and really getting the body’s powerhouse toned up and stretched out,” Able said.
Able said the studio offers options for summer fitness routines.
“During the summer, when people like to do a lot of their cardio outside, it allowed us to have the strength training during the summer inside to help counterbalance both forms of workout,” Able said.
The studio’s cycling classes include upper body and core exercises.
“We’ve also brought in what we call our beat boss or rhythm cycling. That incorporates a lot of upper body movements and core strength. So you’re not just sitting on the bike pounding away at your pedals getting bored. So we try to mix it up and keep it fun,” Able said.
Able said running the studio has allowed her to connect with people on their fitness journeys.
“I really realized that I love helping people. The relationships that we’ve made throughout being here and being able to help people on their journey all along the way, really the relationships that I’ve made are just leaps and bounds,” Able said. “I could never match that.”
She said clients leave satisfied after their workouts.
“One of my taglines is nobody’s ever mad when they’re done. So you just got to roll out of bed, get here, and then we’ll have a good time doing it,” Able said.
The studio offers an introductory class on the first Monday of each month.
“If anybody is looking to try it out, on the first Monday of every month, we do an intro class on Monday nights that not only intros our cycling, but it also intros our Pilates and gets everybody familiar with our machines,” Able said. “So any beginners that are looking, Monday, June 1st, we’ll be here at 6:30 p.m. You can sign up on our website.”
Able said the studio welcomes all fitness levels.
“We just really love to welcome anybody and anybody, however you want to view it,” Able said. “And we like to have a good time.”
