BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) — There was a focus on health and fitness at the Salvation Army Kroc Center on Wednesday as seniors took part in National Senior Health and Fitness Day.

Different vendors were in attendance as seniors took part in activities such as Balance Class and aerobic exercises.

Fitness coordinator Chere Stevenson said it was satisfying to see the results of seniors remaining active.
“As we age, we have to keep moving. So as long as we stay active, it helps prevent falls, all those things. So we always tell, you know, get up off the couch and get moving,” she said.

This was the second year the Kroc Center hosted the event.
