RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – This weekend, the 2026 Legion Sports Fest is bringing a new kind of fitness festival experience to downtown Reno.
Chris Minnes, CEO and owner of Center Podium Productions, stopped by Morning Break to share how this year’s event includes free public access, outdoor attractions, food, entertainment and a massive fitness expo surrounded by premium ticketed competition experiences.
The event takes place Saturday, May 30 beginning at 9 a.m. For fans, families, athletes and the public, their free expo ticket unlocks access to the Legion Sports Fest outdoor block party experience across three connected downtown blocks.
That includes the Globe of Death motorcycle stunt shows, food trucks, mobile bar service, red carpet experience, outdoor attractions, and the Grip Challenge, where attendees can step up and compete for a cash prize.
At the center of it all is the IFBB Pro League and NPC bodybuilding show inside the Reno Ballroom, where elite athletes from around the world compete on one of the biggest stages of the season. The IFBB Pro lineup will feature Bikini, Wellness, Fitness, Men’s Physique, Classic Physique, and Bodybuilding, alongside NPC divisions that bring the next generation of athletes to the Legion stage.
While the expo is free, the IFBB Pro League and NPC bodybuilding show inside the Reno Ballroom remains a separately ticketed premium event.
