Escondido Creek Conservancy is offering a new health and wellness series, Wellness in the Watershed, for those 55 and up.
This free series, funded by the Conrad Prebys Foundation, began May 23 and runs until October 2026. It happens at Mountain Meadow Preserve, including the Conservancy’s new Swenerton Education Center, an open-air space surrounded by the sounds, scents, and sights of nature. Each class is unique, with guest instructors who will teach attendees the benefits of each practice before spending time moving through them. Participants will experience yoga, meditation, sound baths, somatic practices, breath work, and Qigong.Â
Instructors who will lead classes with the goal to bring attendees closer to nature and to themselves.Â

Over the past 35 years, the Conservancy has protected over 3,400 acres of natural space, led thousands of hours of land restoration volunteer events, and reached over 30,000 students through their outdoor education programs. They invite the community to support its ongoing work through its 35th anniversary matching campaign, where a private donor has pledged to match all donations made in 2026 dollar-for-dollar up to $1 million.
